MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Sacramento Asian Peace Officers Association is to work collaboratively with all law enforcement agencies for the advancement of Asian/Pacific Islanders within the law enforcement profession. In addition, we provide assistance and insight into the opportunities available to prospective applicants.
We are also committed to supporting and assisting local community based organizations and especially the youth programs. It is our belief positive interaction generated between law enforcement and the youthful leaders of tomorrow are true investments in our future.
ORIGINS
APOA was founded in 1991 by a very small group of dedicated Asian peace officers to work collaboratively with all law enforcement agencies for the promotion and advancement of Asian/Pacific Islanders within the law enforcement profession. They also believed in supporting the Asian community and began a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of the greater Sacramento area.
