Our Mission

The Asian Peace Officers Association was created in 1991 as a Valley Chapter of the Northern California Peace Officers Association. In 1993, the Valley Chapter created this independent entity as a non-profit IRS § 501 (c) 3 charitable organization.

The “Mission” of the Sacramento Asian Peace Officers Association is to work collaboratively with all law enforcement organizations and various community groups for the promotion and advancement of Asian/Pacific Islanders within the law enforcement profession.  We are also committed to provide assistance and insight into the opportunities available within the various law enforcement agencies to prospective applicants.

The Sacramento Asian Peace Officer Association is committed to supporting and assisting many community based programs and youth organizations.  It is our belief that positive interactions generated between law enforcement and the youthful leaders of tomorrow are true investments in our future.

The APOA created a martial Arts Academy for youth from local communities to make an impact on juvenile delinquency and violence.

Instructors are volunteers from local schools and law enforcement agencies.  The APOA has established a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Sacramento.

The APOA hosts an annual fund raising banquet and silent auction to fund these activities.
